WASHINGTON—June 19, 2008—The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) President Joe A. Garcia testified before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs today regarding the draft legislation on Indian Law and Order. In his testimony President Garcia called for adequate funding for law enforcement training, tribal courts, detention facilities and other basic needs.  [more]
