The theme of the 16th Annual Salmon Homecoming Forum, "The Drum Beats for Everyone," conducted at The Seattle Aquarium on 9/11 this year, led to the development of a Unity Accord on the environment. This Accord connects people from all walks of life in the pursuit of improved stewardship. Garcia testified before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs today regarding the draft legislation on Indian Law and Order. In his testimony President Garcia called for adequate funding for law enforcement training, tribal courts, detention facilities and other basic needs. [more]
