The next NCAI Meth Task Force meeting will be held during NCAI’s 65th Annual Convention and Tradeshow on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center located at 100 North Third Street.  The meeting will focus on current issues regarding meth in Indian Country and building on the success of the Task Force's anti-meth radio and poster ad campaign.  The Task Force will be the first to hear the new concepts for a national Indian Country specific anti-meth TV ad campaign. The meeting is free, open to the public and all those interested in combating meth in Indian communities is encouraged to attend.  For more information, contact April Hale at 202-466-7767 or ahale@ncai.org.  Convention draft agendas and hotel information can be found at: http://www.ncai.org/Home.320.0.html.

The NCAI Tribal Meth Task Force provides the foundation and direction for all NCAI anti-meth initiatives. The Task Force is made up of tribal members and leaders dedicated to eradicating meth from Indian communities. The Task Force shaped the contents and design of both the toolkit and the media campaign. The Task Force meets at all major NCAI conferences to share and coordinate tribal initiatives.  We are always looking for new Task Force members and encourage all interested parties to attend our meetings. The best way to shape the next phase of Indian Country’s fight against meth is to participate in the Task Force.
