We are actively looking for candidates with diverse experience and skills. We want to hear what you bring to the table. Experience that we are looking for includes but is not limited to:

3+ years experience working in a related field

Experience with project management

Communications or creative agency experience

Experience working in media relations

Digital communications and social media skills

Interest in industry trends in marketing, communications, design, and/or technology

A bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or equivalent work experience


Duties And Responsibilities:

Role summary

This Project Strategist will be a member of Pyramid’s Indian Country team, which supports the sovereignty of Native people, Tribal Nations, and Indigenous-led organizations. Pyramid’s Indian Country team equips our clients in Indian Country with the communications tools they need to tell their stories effectively and achieve their goals while navigating systemic barriers.

Pyramid Project Strategists proactively manage project teams, work flows, resources, and client relationships to drive the work forward. They often hold primary responsibility for all internal and external team and client coordination, as well as effective management of project budgets, deadlines, and details.

In addition, Project Strategists contribute insight and services ranging from research to content development and beyond.

Responsibilities will primarily include:

Working closely with clients and internal teams to develop a clear vision of success for projects, and to align project teams around that vision, project goals, and scope of work

Supporting project teams in developing strategies and paths forward to achieve project goals

Ensuring role clarity for internal project teams

Leading internal team coordination

Supporting client communication and managing client expectations.

Developing and managing project timelines and budgets.

Managing monthly client invoicing

Contributing insight and delivering services to client projects ranging from research, to content development, to facilitation—depending on your own particular interests, skills and passion

About our Indian Country team

Our Native-led Indian Country team has deep experience working with Tribal Nations, Native-led organizations, Alaska Native corporations, and Native  foundations to build Native power and self-determination of tribal communities across the United States.

Examples of work we have prioritized: 

Advocating for land and fishing rights

Supporting tribal sovereignty

Designing health awareness campaigns

Increasing political participation in urban and rural Native communities

Demanding accountability for the missing and murdered Indigenous women and people (MMIWP) crisis

Working to create equitable access to education for Native people

Salary And Benefits:

$65,000 – $85,000
