Job Description

The Tribal Administrator (TA), reports directly to the Tribal President and Executive Committee, serves as the administrative head for Delaware Nation and will coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nation. The TA is responsible for all aspects of the Tribal Government Operations and supervision of staff.Additionally, the TA must work with the Tribal Government Directors to develop programs and seek potential funding sources.The TA must enforce and carry out all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies approved by the Executive Committee (EC). The TA functions under the general supervision of the EC and performs other related work as required.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in a related field of management, business or public administration is required.

Must be able to manage time well and have the ability to remain composed and organized in a very fluid environment that is at times deadline focused.

Five (5) years experience in administration and government operations is required.

Ability to effectively utilize appropriate software applications, such as MS Office and video conferencing.

Must have working knowledge of federal agencies and their programs and demonstrate experience managing grants (private, state, or federal).

Must have skills and the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.

Must have strong organizational skills that help maintain and create order and increase productivity in the workplace.

Ability and willingness to work extended hours to perform the functions of the position.
