NCAI Foundation Webinar: Strengthening Our Shared Legacy

Join the National Congress of American Indians for an insightful discussion on its newly launched philanthropic arm, the National Congress of American Indians Foundation (NCAIF), and its ambitious plans to support Tribal Nations in a transformative journey toward shared prosperity and resilience.

On the heels of NCAI’s 2024 State of Indian Nation address in Washington D.C., featured guest NCAI President Mark Macarro (Pechanga Band of Indians) will unveil details on NCAIF’s core pillars aimed at upholding tribal sovereignty, empowering leadership, cultivating youth voices, and fortifying Tribal Nations.

President Macarro will be joined by NCAI Executive Director, Larry Wright, Jr. (Ponca Tribe of Nebraska), NCAIF President Greg Masten (Yurok Tribe, descendant of the Hupa and Karuk Tribes), and the event will be moderated by NCAIF Vice President, Dawn Knickerbocker (Anishinaabe from White Earth Nation) for an open and candid look into the organization’s innovative roadmap.

Key discussion topics will include:

  • Connections between the Foundation’s approach and NCAI’s 2024 policy priorities
  • Expanding partnerships with Native-led groups to enhance impact
  • Launching initiatives to foster movement-building and self-determination
  • Centering Equity & Sovereignty to unite allies and drive change

Speakers will also discuss how public, private, and nonprofit partners can support the NCAI Foundation's mission to empower tribal communities. By taking part in this important dialogue, participants will help co-create solutions that empower Tribal Nations and build bridges of mutual understanding and respect.
