About the Event:

The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) Task Force on Violence Against Women invites you to join our Sexual Assault Awareness Month webinar on April 28 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Webinar attendees will learn about the successes of survivors, advocates, and tribal leaders who worked to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in 2013. VAWA in 2013 reaffirmed tribal jurisdiction over certain domestic violence cases. Speakers will share how attendees can mobilized today to help in the efforts to reauthorize VAWA in 2021 with important tribal provisions.
