The Director of Finance will assist the CFO in the daily management of the finance department. Reports to CFO.
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of a BS in accounting.
Expert knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office suite applications.
Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
Deep knowledge and understanding of the Office of Management and Budget Circular A133 audit.
Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Backup for staff accountant and finance assistant during pto.
Quality assurance over policy oversight.
Ensure regulatory compliance over all financial functions and policies.
Weekly reconciliations between lending and finance departments.
Weekly budget to actual computations.
Due diligence for investments and grantors.
Expense report reconciliation including compliance with policy.
Assist with quarterly financial reporting.
Assist with grant reporting including reporting for federal grants and compliance with uniform guidance.
Assist with audit and 990.
Assist CFO as needed with additional duties.
