Summary: The Grants and Organizational Coordinator is critical to the day-to-day operations of Native American Jump Start (NAJS). This position is responsible for daily administrative operations of NAJS, and administration of the NAJS student and employment grant program. This position requires occasional travel. This position reports directly to the Chief Advancement Officer. Mission: Native American Jump Start is a Wyoming registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities of growth and success for Native American individuals and families through education and employment.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired. ● Minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably for nonprofits. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● Strong self-motivation skills and the ability to work independently. ● Experience in day-to-day administrative support. ● Intermediate+ experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ● Familiarity with Google Workspace ● Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Preferred Qualifications: ● Social media account management experience. ● Experience with email management systems, i.e., Mail Chimp. ● Experience in donor stewardship or customer service. ● Database management skills. • Preference given to NAJS Alumni Physical Requirements: ● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: Daily Administration: ● Serve as day-to-day point of contact for the organization. ● Respond to all email, online, and phone inquiries. ● Works with Board and organization management for reporting purposes. ● Helps manage relationships with key business partners. ● Manages receipt of mail and business expenses. ● Supports online and website management. ● Works with board chair to coordinate board meetings. ● Other duties as assigned. Grant Administration: Grant Funding - ● Responsible for building out grant info and application process on the website. ● Prepares and compiles all components of each grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted to grant approval committee for review. ● Responsible for assisting in relationship management with higher education institutions, grant applicants, students, and interns. ● Stays current with foundation trends and giving priorities. ● Maintains databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, awards, and related statistical information. ● Creates and distributes standard and special reports, studies, summaries, and analysis, as required. ● Monitors and coordinates the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures, and agency requirements are being followed
