The Kwek Society seeks a Part-Time Operations Director (20-25 hours/week) to manage our core distribution operations and support organizational growth. Reporting directly to the Founder/Executive Director, this role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and potential advancement to Executive Director position in the future. The position requires
regular presence in our Washington, D.C.-area warehouse to manage hands-on inventory and distribution operations, while developing skills in nonprofit leadership and Indigenous community
engagement.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications
Required
● 3+ years of operations or logistics management experience
● Strong organizational and project management skills
● Experience coordinating volunteer teams
● Excellent attention to detail
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Commitment to serving Indigenous communities
● Based in or willing to relocate to D.C./Maryland/Virginia area
● Valid driver's license
● Ability to lift and move boxes of supplies
● Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultures

Preferred
● Nonprofit operations experience
● Experience with inventory management systems
● Background in public health or education
● Knowledge of period poverty issues
● Database management experience
● Grant reporting experience


Working Conditions
● Part-time position (20-25 hours per week)
● Regular presence required at DMV-area warehouse
● Flexible scheduling available
● Occasional travel to partner sites
● Some evening/weekend work for volunteer events
● Physical work required for warehouse operations

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities
Operations Management
● Oversee warehouse operations and logistics
● Manage inventory systems and supply ordering
● Coordinate packaging and mail-out operations with volunteer teams
● Maintain relationships with shipping vendors and suppliers
● Track and report on distribution metrics
● Implement efficiency improvements in distribution processes
Program Support
● Support distribution network serving 220+ partners across 20 states
● Help maintain partner relationships and communications
● Assist in monitoring program effectiveness
● Support period education initiatives
● Help maintain website and program documentation
● Assist with reporting to Board and stakeholders

Team Coordination
● Supervise and coordinate volunteer activities (56+ volunteers)
● Schedule and manage warehouse volunteer sessions
● Work with contractors on operational needs
● Support development of training materials
● Maintain volunteer engagement and recognition programs


Financial Operations
● Track operational expenses and stay within budget
● Maintain accurate inventory records
● Support bookkeeping processes
● Assist with in-kind donation management
● Help prepare financial reports


Leadership Development
● Learn all aspects of organizational operations
● Participate in strategic planning sessions
● Develop relationships with tribal partners
● Shadow Executive Director in key meetings and events
● Receive mentorship in nonprofit leadership
● Build understanding of menstrual equity advocacy
● Gain exposure to fundraising and donor relations

Salary & Benefits

$30,000 to $35,000 annually
